A survey recently conducted by Lavalife and McNeil Consumer Healthcare has found that 45 per cent of singles would not consider dating a smoker. There are many diseases linked to smoking – cancer, heart disease, stroke, emphysema, impotence, mouth diseases which can provoke greater snoring.

Stairway to a healthy heart


Using the stairs at work instead of taking elevators could be a lifesaver. A small Swiss study released that walking up and down stairs for three months, without recourse to the lift, increased levels of fitness, reduction in waist size, body fat, blood pressure and cholesterol.
